Police issued a regional Amber Alert for Salem Sabatka after she was kidnapped Saturday night. She was last seen walking with her mother before a car approached them and someone grabbed her, Fort Worth Police Department said.
The mother tried to jump into the car to get her daughter back, but the man shoved her out of the vehicle and sped away, CNN affiliate KTVT reported. It said police released surveillance video from a nearby camera that shows the mother getting thrown out of the car and crying for help on the street.
Salem was last seen wearing a teal shirt and green leggings, police said. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
Various law enforcement agencies are involved in her search, including Homeland Security.
