Oprah doles out life advice in new book

The proof is in her new book, "The Path Made Clear," in which the mogul uses the advice gleaned through her countless hours of interviews to help readers discover their callings in life.
The self-help book features anecdotes from people like Brene Brown, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jay-Z, but it's Winfrey who, in only the way she can, finds the deeper messages inside the stories.
Remember when 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' made us listen to each other
At one point, she refers to one conversation with basketball star LeBron James in which he told her that he loses his rhythm on the court when he starts "playing for others rather than playing for myself."
"Yes!" Oprah exalts. "This is a universal truth. We fall off course the minute our intention shifts from following our hearts to responding to what we think others believe. All of a sudden, life becomes complicated...the goal is to get back to living for yourself."
The book's release comes one day after Winfrey announced her plans to launch a new book club with Apple that will feature conversations with authors and more.
"The only thing more gratifying than an extraordinary read is being able to share that experience with others, and we're going to do just that by building the biggest, the most vibrant, and the most stimulating book club on the planet," she said.
Sorry to those who were hoping she'd make her way back to the talk show stage. But having Oprah in your pocket doesn't sound like a bad alternative.
