Right place, right time

A milkman in China made a heart-stopping rescue in footage from government-run TV station CCTV. On his daily route, he saw a mother and her baby attempting to flee an apartment fire. The man climbed atop his truck and onto the roof of the building, where he reached out and caught the 4-month-old. His perfect timing and "Superman" moves are generating buzz.

Where it all began

Meghan McCain became emotional when she recalled one of her earliest political memories -- as an 11-year-old at the 1996 Republican National Convention when Bob Dole was the party nominee. A reporter asked the future talk-show host if she would vote for Dole or her father, Sen. John McCain, if she were old enough. The young Meghan McCain responded quickly that her loyalty was to her dad. CNN's Van Jones surprised her with tape of that interview from more than 20 years ago.

Move along, nothing to see here

No, it wasn't one of those movies about culprits planning a heist at an art museum. Instead, surveillance video showed a suspect snatching a painting worth $1 million off the wall of a Moscow art gallery, Russian police said. Visitors apparently mistook the thief for a gallery employee as he proceeded out the door.

Fire and ice

Firefighters have a dangerous job, and that's without having to cope with arctic temperatures. Video captured an Indiana team that overcame frozen fire hydrants and below-zero wind chill to contain a house fire.

A fan for life

Richard E. Grant, an Oscar nominee for "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" shared a fan letter on Twitter that he wrote Barbra Streisand when he was 14. The legendary singer-actress saw the tweet and responded, thanking him for his "wonderful letter" as a teenager and praising Grant for his recent work.
